Our People

John McSherry - Founder & Director

John McSherry has almost four decades of experience in the bitumen industry. John has loved witnessing the growth and development of the industry, with advances in machinery and technology constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. As the Director of Pro-Bitumen, John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every project, overseeing all types of asphalt pavement construction for local government, State government departments (e.g. Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI), and the private-sector.

John Becker - Operations Manager

John Becker has been an integral part of the company, having 38 years of experience in the bitumen industry. What he loves most about his work is that each day he has an opportunity to outdo his previous day’s work, and he is enthusiastic to do better every day. Witnessing the growth and development of the industry, especially with the advancements in technology, is something that has always fascinated him. He takes pride in seeing Pro-Bitumen grow as a company and the work he contributes towards it.

Ken Lundie-Jenkins - General Manager

Ken Lundie-Jenkins is our General Manager at Pro Bitumen, he values that the business is family-owned and has a strong company culture. With 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Ken is dedicated to running the day-to-day business, liaising with clients, integrating new initiatives, and promoting an overall healthy culture. He enjoys working with like-minded companies to build a better future, starting each day with a catch-up with crews, and finding the best value for clients. Outside of work, Ken enjoys basketball, exploring his state, and coaching his daughter's basketball team.

Anita Bradley - Administration

Anita Bradley loves the workplace culture of the organisation and the daily atmosphere. As the Admin Manager, Anita is responsible for maintaining all business records including Daily Job Documents and Quality Safety and Environmental documents. With her exceptional time management skills and attention to detail, Anita ensures the smooth functioning of the company.

Declan McSherry - Safety & Environmental; Coordinator

Declan McSherry takes great pride in working for the family’s business and witnessing the company’s growth. With extensive knowledge of WHS standards, Declan performs daily site inspections to ensure safety measures are in place. He also ensures that the crew complete their daily prestart checks and that SWMS and site risk assessments are completed before beginning any job. In the event of an incident, Declan conducts thorough investigations and recommends improvements to existing environmental strategies.
